On Sunday, I did my 10km race in my hometown. It was hot at around 32 degrees Celsius, which made running even harder. To be completely honest, it was a hard race, but I'm happy and glad that I did it. I finally saw what I am capable of even in the most harsh conditions. At the same time, I'm happy that I didn't push myself to a point where a health emergency would be needed. Continue Reading
Next Sunday, I have a 10km race in my hometown, so today I went on a simple run to check the route. Being so hot didn't help my run, but I guess I can expect similar temperatures next week during the race. Continue Reading
Today, I didn't go on a run since I was playing beach volleyball for over 2 hours. There's no excuse, so I guess I failed my 7 day running challenge. I'm not disappointed, and I will go on a run tomorrow and on Sunday just to round things up. Continue Reading
The new update went live yesterday. I'm quite happy with the design and the new updated look now. As usual, I already have a few improvements planned for the future. Continue Reading
My running preparations are going well. Today, I went on another 7km run. I've also registered for a 10km race in my hometown happening at the end of August. This will help me prepare better for the upcoming Ljubljana 10km race in October. My hometown race will give me a better understanding of my current race pace and areas I need to improve on for the October race. Continue Reading
The floods in Slovenia, my home country, have preoccupied my thoughts for the past few days. My household isn't affected, but I empathize with anyone who is. It's dreadful. Continue Reading
I've been quite pleased with the content I've produced over the past few days. Moreover, I have more content ideas in the works for future posts. Creating content daily can be challenging, but I believe this consistency fosters creativity and encourages daily creation. Without this daily 'restriction', I doubt I'd produce as much. I'm glad I participate in the #100DaysToOffload challenge. Continue Reading
I've been reading 'Thing Explainer' by Randall Munroe, the creator of the webcomic XKCD. It has sparked more curiosity in me about the world. Continue Reading
Website Update: Footer
I've redesigned my footer the way I always wanted. I'm delighted with the result - simple, elegant, and beautiful. I've also made some other website improvements and I'm genuinely enjoying working on this project. I have more ideas for future enhancements as well. Continue Reading
Throughout the day, I've been working on a more concrete post than just the usual rambling. However, I've realized that the post is about mindfulness, and to be honest, I'm not sure if I'm knowledgeable enough about the topic to write about it. Continue Reading
Yesterday, I went to see 'Oppenheimer' with friends. As expected, it was an amazing movie with a great screenplay, music, and actors. I really enjoyed it, but it's a complex film, almost like real life, filled with paradoxical characters and hard choices. It's hard to say anything more about the film without watching it again, since so many things happen. I particularly enjoyed the start of the film. Had it stopped there, it might have inspired the next generation of physicists.
I've updated the site with small improvements as well as adding pagination for the blog. I already have some additional improvements and features I want to add. Continue Reading
7 Day Internet Consumption Reset
This might be quite personal, but I haven't been feeling that good in the recent weeks. I can't really pinpoint any specific problem; I just don't feel my best. Continue Reading
I enjoy building small projects, ranging from web apps to simple websites like this one. Recently, I've also started learning a bit of iOS development and I'm almost finished with a starter course. Overall, I'm quite excited, but this past week was so hectic that I could barely find the time for some coding. Continue Reading
Yesterday, I read "Scoop: Vox Media drops its own CMS" and it got me thinking about just how powerful and dominant WordPress has become. Even large publishing organizations like Vox can't compete with it. I've used WordPress before and I think that despite its limitations, it's a great piece of open-source software. Continue Reading
What a strange day. Today I definitely don't feel like myself; my thoughts are all over the place. Despite all this, I'm grateful for my friends who can be so supportive in such moments. I've started listening to an episode from Huberman Lab about 'Growth Mindset,' and however uncomfortable that phrase sounds, the science behind it is quite fascinating. I'm taking notes, so I might publish something in that regard on the blog as well.
"100 Days of Blogging" badge has been added. Check out the main blog page to see it. It's not perfect, but it's okay for now. In this stage of my website it's better to publish something, even if it's slightly off, rather than allow my perfectionism to prevent me from ever publishing it. I will clean up the code a bit in the upcoming days. Continue Reading
Today, I started writing a lengthy piece about Apple Podcasts and the idea of a similar platform but for personal blogs. I didn't finish it as we're packing to return home from a week-long vacation by the sea. However, worry not, I will publish it in the upcoming days. As mentioned yesterday, I also aim to introduce a few small improvements to my blog, but today, I simply wanted to enjoy the day. Continue Reading
I need to start thinking about implementing pagination for this blog. I would also like to enhance the blog posts by adding some RSS feed links and more information at the bottom of each post. I like what I've built, but the current version of my blog is quite basic and barebone. Continue Reading
The new homepage is now live and I'm proud of what I've built. It's been a while since I had this much fun building something like this.
I'm currently working on my homepage. It's really hard to create something simple and clean, yet fun and playful. I believe that the homepage needs to be a bit special and have some fun elements for the first-time visitors. For the past two days, I've been playing around with animated blobs. Continue Reading
The coolest thing about building my own website is that I can improve and iterate quickly. Today, I’ve noticed that the reader of the article might want to quickly return to the list of all posts, so I’ve added a simple button at the end of the article. Continue Reading
I recently read “How Much Should You Care About Your Job?” from Insider. I highlighted this one part about job relationships being a key predictor of overall happiness. Continue Reading
Yesterday, I purchased blue-light blocking glasses. I had been on the edge of trying them out, mostly because I thought it was all a gimmick. After doing some research and learning that Bryan Johnson uses them, I decided to give them a try. I chose to go with the Whoop blue-light blocking glasses for evening use, since I didn’t want to get the cheapest off-brand ones. Continue Reading
Should I share articles I've saved for later? I recently went through my list of articles I have saved. I wish I could find a constantly updated list with similar types of articles online. Perhaps that's what made Twitter so enjoyable and intriguing. People shared everything from interesting concepts and ideas to captivating long-form reads. Maybe I should start sharing some of the articles I've saved for later and found interesting.
Recently, I have learned something new about myself. ChatGPT has helped me to realize what is going on, demonstrating the immense value that this technology provides even today.

Busy last few days
Lately, I've been just super busy with work, team building, in-office meetups and more. It's very exciting and I'm grateful for all of it. Continue Reading
Welcome again
Hello everyone. I've been developing and redesigning my own website since a few months ago, but I didn't like the final result. I never published it and now I want to start this project again, but with a slight difference - I want to build it in public. Continue Reading
