Day 3 Update: 7 Day Internet Consumption Reset
This is a status update for my ongoing Internet Consumption Reset.
Yesterday, I went to see 'Oppenheimer' with friends. As expected, it was an amazing movie with a great screenplay, music, and actors. I really enjoyed it, but it's a complex film, almost like real life, filled with paradoxical characters and hard choices. It's hard to say anything more about the film without watching it again, since so many things happen. I particularly enjoyed the start of the film. Had it stopped there, it might have inspired the next generation of physicists.
I've updated the site with small improvements as well as adding pagination for the blog. I already have some additional improvements and features I want to add.
7 Day Internet Consumption Reset
This might be quite personal, but I haven't been feeling that good in the recent weeks. I can't really pinpoint any specific problem; I just don't feel my best.
How to Blog: 4 Crucial Tips I've Learned Over the Years
Today, I received an interesting email from one of my readers with a few questions about blogging. Since I think some of these tips might be beneficial to some of you, I've decided to publish my answers to the reader's questions and provide some general tips to help you start or continue blogging. I hope you find these valuable.
"It's been a couple of weeks since I started my 10k km run preparations. I'm primarily focused on Zone 2 training for now. I began with a comfortable 10-25km per week of running. I'm also attempting to maintain 2-3 weight lifting sessions per week, which can make my schedule rather busy. The challenge with Zone 2 training is ego. EVERYONE seems to pass you by, but you just have to moderate your pace and maintain a steady, solid run.
I enjoy building small projects, ranging from web apps to simple websites like this one. Recently, I've also started learning a bit of iOS development and I'm almost finished with a starter course. Overall, I'm quite excited, but this past week was so hectic that I could barely find the time for some coding.
Yesterday, I read "Scoop: Vox Media drops its own CMS" and it got me thinking about just how powerful and dominant WordPress has become. Even large publishing organizations like Vox can't compete with it. I've used WordPress before and I think that despite its limitations, it's a great piece of open-source software.
